Hertz will guarantee a vehicle type and then when you arrive tell you they don’t actually have that type. That drives me nuts. I’m considering Touro now.

I had to seek a doctor’s note for an interview that said my total cholesterol was fine as the ratio of LDL/HDL was good. At my interview physical (which they no longer do) my total cholesterol was 115. It’s been low ever since.

Anecdotal here, but I haven’t flown with a better bunch of new first officers than I have in the past few years. Someone is doing something right in the hiring and training departments at my employer.

I’m a headset junkie. I think I’ve tried nearly all of them, including clarity aloft and faro as well as the Bose A20. The Delta Zulu’s CO monitor can save your life. No other headset can make that claim. I used to fly with a CO monitor when I didn’t forget to bring it, or forget to turn it on...

That’s it, I’m moving back to Washington, where my dad used to have a Stearman. Where was this plate then?

Great thread here. I used to use a portable CO monitor but would forget to turn it on half the time. I’m absolutely LOVING the Lightspeed Delta Zulu headset which records the CO levels that I can look at after the flight to see any trends.

While in formation, it’s a good idea to run rich for that period if you’re having to maneuver in place. If you’re lead, then lean as normal.

Not really. He’s saying once the music stops, if you’re in any seat and not out on furlough, it can be a great gig.
