I'm studying for my commercial written right now with Kings and like others said it's similar to the PPL. I'll use Sheppard to get me ready for the test though.
I've seen some YouTube videos with GA planes landing at SFO. I believe the landing fee there is $200. If you ever visit HNL there's plenty of GA places to fly on the south ramp. Do you have any Class C airports close by? Personally I feel it's the same as a Class B airport. :)
I use to fly at that same flying club at HWD. He was in the hills. I would've landed on the freeway too!

Check out ceramic coatings like Gyeon Mohs or CarPro CQuartz. It's more expensive than wax but it last for years. Keep in mind that there is a good amount of prep work to be done before you can apply the coating.
I rent a DA40 for $155 (club rate). Much cheaper to rent out here than where I use to live (SF Bay Area). Rental prices more at Kauai, Maui, Big Island. Last year I did a tour around the big island with a CFI and paid $600 (kamaaina rate) with 2.5 hours on the hobbs.
I got Dealer 3 to match Dealer 2 with the Costco price. Both of them said factory rebates/incentives will be applied when the car arrives. Now let's see if any of them will budge to give me a better price. :)
I'll most likely try selling my car on my own first. If I can't I'll just trade it in.
Dealer 2 & 3 I have in writing. I didn't wanna deal with the @ssh0le in dealer 1.
I found some dealerships in CA that had similar to what I want but had extra gadgets that I didn't need or want to pay for...
These are what the dealers are offering me.
Dealer 1 (salesman is an @ssh0le)
- No deposit
- No dealer markup fees
- Factory Incentives/Rebates when vehicle arrives.
Dealer 2
- 2K deposit
- No dealer markup fees
- Costco price when vehicle arrives.
Dealer 3
- 1K deposit
- No dealer markup...
So it sounds like they might not be able to get me a price. I can only ask about what kinda discounts they can give me before they put the order through in writing. When the car arrives they said they can give me whatever discounts Chevy has for the month the car arrives.
Also, need some advice...
I had one dealership say they can reduce the price with the Costco membership when the car arrives. The other dealership said they don't even know what the price will be when they place the order so they can't negotiate anything (sounds like crap). I'm waiting to see what the other dealership...
