As an A&P, I think that you’ll benefit most from working for a busy shop that’s willing to take you on and give you the 30 months of experience and then sign your 8610. I’m just not impressed with the products coming out of a two-year long school versus two years of actual experience.

What were the dates and OAT’s on each of the TAS data points? Summer vs winter temps? 2 knots for colder temps, 2 knots for the rudder, 2 knots for a new prop, 1-2 knots for the static leak, and these begin to add up.

I have my Aera 660 in the Air Gizmo dock. It’s audio is hardwired to my GMA 350c audio panel and it’s also hardwired to my GDL 51 XM radio and weather receiver. It’s Bluetoothed to the GTX-345 for ADS-B In/Out. Very capable device with lots of great info. I should have installed a 760 though.

You’re not required to OH under part 91. I also subscribe to Mike Bush’s opinion on overhauls. The 100 hour/annual inspection requires the engines to be compression checked, inspected and borescoped. When the IA signs off the annual, he /she has determined your engine is airworthy.

You did this procedure correct. That’s exactly what we do flying as airline pilots. Not on a 750 but in the FMS. The process is exactly the same.
