Some Whelen WAT bulbs no longer need a STC. They have now been FAA approved as a standard replacement. Now if you just have a landing light, and you try to change it to a taxi/landing light it will need a Stc. Because of extra switch and wiring.

It's about .7 pounds more per gallon of jet a vs avgas. So at 100 gallons of tank available it's only 70 lbs difference.

Familiar enough to know I can only use up to b-20 in a 2018. That's still 80% regular diesel. And if I can find it it's more expensive.
